Then it got even crazier: in September 2024, the ONE improved its own official record to 6:29.090, becoming the first production car to break the 6:30 barrier on the full 20.832 km track.

Rarity and production: why the ONE is instantly legendary

Only 275 units were planned/built, making the ONE a true modern unicorn. Deliveries began in 2023, with the first customer car delivered in mid-January 2023 (reported by multiple outlets).

And that scarcity isn’t just marketing. It reflects the difficulty of making something this complex buildable and road-compliant at all.


The “real-world” side: complexity has consequences

A car this advanced isn’t going to behave like a normal supercar behind the scenes. As a reminder of how extreme the hardware is, there was also a widely reported 2025 recall concerning missing pin/cotter locks on a hydraulic line for the active rear spoiler, with potential risk of hydraulic fluid leakage (and, in the worst case, ignition on hot components).
