Privacy & Cookies
The short version. This site sets no cookies. There are no accounts, no comments, no mailing list and no advertising. Nothing you read here is used to build a profile of you, and nothing about you is sold or handed to data brokers.
Who runs this site
Supercars Passion is an independent publication written and run by Giuseppe DiZillo. For anything on this page — including a request to see, correct or erase whatever data concerns you — write to postagiuseppe84@gmail.com.
What is measured
Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It was chosen precisely because it does its job without following anybody: it sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, and cannot track you from one website to the next.
What it records is the page you asked for, the page that sent you here, the broad type of browser and device you used, and the country the request came from. These are aggregated into counts. There is no way, from that data, to work out who you are or what else you read.
Server logs
The site is hosted by Netlify. Like every web server, theirs keeps short-lived technical logs of the requests it answers, and those logs include the IP address the request came from. This is the ordinary machinery of delivering a web page and of keeping the site up under attack; the legal basis is legitimate interest. Those logs are Netlify's, they are not read for any editorial purpose, and they are not combined with the analytics above.
What this site does not do
- It sets no cookies, so there is nothing for you to accept or refuse.
- It carries no advertising and no advertising trackers.
- There are no user accounts and no login.
- There is no comment section, so no comment data exists.
- There is no newsletter and no mailing list.
- Fonts and photographs are served from this site's own domain. They are not loaded from Google Fonts or an outside image host, so browsing here does not quietly announce your visit to a third party.
Third parties
Two companies necessarily handle your request in order for this page to reach you:Netlify, which hosts and serves the site, and Cloudflare, which receives the analytics beacon. Those are the only outside services this site loads.
The Wire, and the links inside articles, point to other publishers. The moment you follow one you are on their website under their rules — what they collect is governed by their privacy policy, not by this one.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask for access to your personal data, for its correction or erasure, for processing to be restricted, and for a copy of it in portable form; you may also object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest. Write to the address above and you will get an answer.
Given how little this site collects, in most cases the honest answer will be that there is nothing held that identifies you. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Changes to this page
If what the site collects ever changes — advertising, comments and a mailing list are all things a publication may one day add — this page is updated before that goes live, and the date at the top changes with it.
