Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster: Just 15 Open-Top V12 Hybrids From Sant'Agata

There is a particular kind of car that Lamborghini builds only when it wants to remind the world exactly who it is. Not a series-production model, not even a limited run of a few hundred — but a true “few-off,” counted on your fingers and gone almost before the order books open. The latest of these rolling statements is the Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster, revealed at the Lamborghini Arena 2026 at Imola, and it is one of the rarest cars the marque has ever made.

Fifteen and no more

If the Fenomeno coupe already felt impossibly exclusive, the Roadster takes things further still. Only 15 examples will be produced — exactly half the number of coupes planned. To put that in perspective, that is rarer than the Reventon, rarer than the Veneno, and squarely in the territory of cars that are bought sight unseen by collectors who are already on a first-name basis with Sant’Agata. Open-top drama, Revuelto roots

The Fenomeno Roadster is built on the bones of the Lamborghini Revuelto, the brand’s V12 hybrid flagship, and it shares the coupe’s wonderfully aggressive design. The launch car wears a striking triple-tone scheme — blue, exposed carbon and red highlights — that looks almost concept-car theatrical in the metal. Triangular headlamps, Y-shaped taillights flanking a hexagonal exhaust, and those distinctive centre-lock wheels all carry over unchanged. Inside, it borrows the Revuelto’s cabin layout, complete with the portrait-oriented central touchscreen.

This follows a long Lamborghini tradition: the brand has a habit of giving its few-offs an open-top sibling. The Reventon and Veneno both got roadster versions, as did the more recent Centenario and Sian FKP 37. The Fenomeno Roadster slots neatly into that lineage of ultra-rare drop-tops.

A V12 that refuses to quit

The mechanical heart is what makes the Fenomeno special, and it is glorious. Powering the Roadster is the same 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 paired with three electric motors, producing a combined 1,065 hp and 793 lb-ft of torque. In an industry racing toward downsized turbo engines and full electrification, Lamborghini keeping a high-revving, naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder alive — even in hybrid form — feels almost defiant. And in a roadster, with the roof stowed and that engine howling just behind your shoulders, it promises to be one of the great sensory experiences in modern motoring.

Cars like the Fenomeno Roadster are not really about practicality or even lap times. They are halo pieces — design and engineering showcases that crystallise where a brand stands at a moment in time.
